About Le Lapin

''In 1990, the whistling kettle design Le Lapin by designer Nikolaï Carels won
the Dutch Hema design competition . A year later, the design was produced and sold successfully for many years. However, with the rise of electric kettles, whistling kettles fell out of favor and Le Lapin also disappeared from the shelves of the stores. From that moment on, the designer regularly received responses from enthusiastic Le Lapin 'fans' asking when and where they could buy a new one? And why there was no electric version for sale? In 2020, the 30th anniversary year of Le Lapin, the designer decided to fulfill this wish.

Based on the original design, Nikolaï Carels developed an electric Le Lapin kettle that is now produced and sold in-house under the brand name Le Lapin Kitchenware.
